Economic Development
Citywide Strategy:
The City of Lake Stevens is dedicated to improving, and diversifying the Lake Stevens economic and business climate. Our goal is to support a lively, active city where people can live, work and play. In 2010, the City Council commissioned an Economic Development Strategy to create a “road map” for improving the City’s fiscal condition. The City determined from the ECONOMIC ASSESSMENT and RETAIL FORECAST AND LEAKAGE ANALYSIS that there are opportunities for economic growth while preserving and enhancing the community character for residents and visitors. Based on the growth potential, the city began SUBAREA PLANNING for the 20th Street SE Corridor and the Lake Stevens Center in 2011 to enhance its economic development opportunities. |
