HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
The Human Resources department is currently responsible for
providing services in city employment, city employee relations, diversity, city employee classification, city employee
compensation, city employee benefits, city employee training,
and risk management.
Steve Edin became the first Human Resources Director for the
City of Lake Stevens in November 2006. Since becoming the
City’s Human Resources Director, Mr. Edin’s primary objective has been to develop a Labor Relations and Human Resources Department for the City that is multifaceted and provides
support to the public, the Lake Stevens City Council, City
Administration, Civil Service Commission, and other City
departments.
Mr. Edin has lived in Snohomish County since 1975. He started
his municipal career with the City of Marysville’s Finance
Department in 1990. In 1998, Mr. Edin transferred to City of Marysville’s Human Resources Department as a Specialist. He completed his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from
Seattle University in 2006. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s
Degree in Management &
Organization from Central Washington University.
