PUBLIC WORKS NEWS BRIEFS

NEW Old Sign in Downtown

There is a new "old" sign welcoming people into downtown Lake Stevens thanks to the help of volunteer Leah Grassl and the Lake Stevens Rotary.  The old sign had been overgrown with vegetation over the past few years and almost forgotten. Leah volunteered to refurbish the sign for the community and worked with the Lake Stevens Rotary to provide the supplies needed to refurbish the sign to make it look new again.  The sign has been relocated to Main Street at the Northshore Drive intersection.  Leah is a long time resident of Lake Stevens and now a student at Western.  She is also volunteering as an technical intern working on lake management projects and education.  Thanks Leah! Also, thank you to Kathy Little and the Lake Stevens Rotary.
